Archivist, Hutt City Council Archives

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Hutt City Council
Archives - where you will be able to use, and develop, your archival
skills in a range of activities.  You will be a key team member in
making the archival record of council accessible to our stakeholders.  

 

The Archive is part of the Corporate Information group and the position
may be of interest to someone wanting to move from current to archival
records. 


We are looking for someone with:

*	Understanding of archival and records management systems,
principals and practices 
*	Preferably tertiary archival training 
*	Excellent problem solving, analytical, research, and written
communication skills
*	A customer focused approach

 You will be responsible for providing:

*	customer and research services
*	appraisal, accessioning, description, preservation and disposal
services
