As we begin to approach the end of the year, we're also rapidly
approaching the 12-month mark in the countdown to the 4th ALIA New
Librarians Symposium, in Melbourne, 2008.

 

And do we have news for you!

 

Yes, we do. We have a lot of exciting news that we want to tell you all,
but we can't because it would just be too exciting, and we don't want to
peak too early in an explosive information overload. We'd rather tease
you all a bit - at least for the next few months.

 

So, we've set up a news feed on the NLS4 website, so that we can keep
you all informed in regular instalments.

 

Yes, in a bid to become Web 2.0 compliant, our news page has been
RSSified, so you can stop obsessive-compulsively checking our website
for new information. The feed is available through the "RSS" link on the
side menu.

 

So point your feed aggregator to our news feed now, as the updates will
soon be coming as fast and furious as Mr T with a Snickers bar. We'll be
announcing the first of a number of competitions in the coming weeks,
and you don't want to miss out.

 

We also have a flickr page set up with photos of the website launch
event at the ALIA 70th Birthday, hosted by the Victorian Newgrads at the
State Library of Victoria.

 

In the words of Big Kev (R.I.P.), "I'm excited!", and so should you be!
