Library Officer - HEW 03/04

2 Part-time Positions - 0.5 (18 hours 45 minutes per week)

Full-time salary ranges from   $35,770 - $44,143 per annum.
Temporary contract until Dec 2007

 

Expressions of interest are invited from enthusiastic and client-focused
people for temporary Library Officer positions in Murdoch University
Library. 

Two half time positions are available. Current students or recently
graduated Library Technicians are encouraged to apply.

 

Appointments will be a temporary contract ending December 2007.

 

One position is in Enquiry and Lending Services and the other is in
Collection Services.

 

Enquiry and Lending Services is the first point of contact for library
users. 

Areas of activity include answering a wide range of enquiries about the
library and its services, lending from the Library's collections,
Reserve and E-Reserve processing, interlibrary lending and document
delivery services, and service delivery to off-campus students.

 

Collection Services is responsible for ordering, acquiring and providing
access to the Library's information resources in a timely manner. A
range of material formats is handled, including print and online. Areas
of activity for this position include maintaining records in the
Library's bibliographic database and processing received items for
inclusion in the collection.

 

All Library staff are classified as shift workers.
