GUEST SPEAKER
Jo Standing
ECM Solutions Architect
Alphawest Services Pty Ltd
and (IIM WA Branch Councillor)
Sharing Information and Joined Up Government UK
Knowledge workers in Australian Government face challenges presented by
the shift to online services to achieve e-government targets. IT
professionals need to provide information management systems that
perform with effortless efficiency to deliver services to citizens.
Jo will reveal how the UK Government has addressed sharing information
across agencies, using enterprise content management tools.
Jo will outline issues that have arisen from a lack of sharing of
information in Social Care, following on from the Soham Murders and
Victoria Climbie incident. She will describe how UK Government combines
technology solutions to ensure that ALL agencies have the correct
information available and at the same time, ensure access is on a 'need
to know' basis only.
Tony Blair issued the e-government agenda to have all government
services delivered online, or through alternative media such as digital
TV. Jo will review the following technologies and how they have been
implemented to achieve this agenda:
CRM Solutions for Service Delivery
Enterprise Application Integration Tools Business Process Management and
Workflow solutions Knowledge Management to Content Management Integrated
E-forms EDRM Back office/Line of Business Applications Single Data
Repository and 'The Golden Record'
Jo will also fill us in on how the UK government is addressing fraud
through utilising integration technologies and CRM.
