 CASUAL STUDENT ASSISTANTS 
WANTED URGENTLY
$21.39 per hour

Some vacancies have recently arisen for additional casual Student
Assistants to undertake re-shelving of library materials and related
duties within the main (Robertson) Library.  

These positions are offered to Curtin University students who can make
themselves available to work for approximately 10-15 hours per week
(including study and exam weeks).   Shifts will be approximately 3-4
hours at a time and this will be rostered around your class (or exam)
times.

The current pay rate is $21.39/hour.  This is a casual rate so includes
a loading in lieu of sick pay or holiday pay.  The same rate applies for
hours worked in the evenings or on the weekends.

Applicants will be invited to a short interview/briefing and to
undertake a brief written and shelving test.

Essential criteria for the position are:
*	An appropriate level of physical fitness for the tasks involved
*	Good communication skills
*	An ability to comprehend and follow instructions
*	Reliability and punctuality
*	Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
Desirable
*	Some knowledge of the Dewey Decimal Classification system and
experience in using the Library.
