</b>The workshop provides an introduction to psychological and psychiatric assessment and report writing for asylum seekers and refugees. Clinicians face complex issues including the difficulties of obtaining medical records, the complexity of the stories,
the politicised nature of assessments and their outcomes, and the requirements of the legal arguments and associated letters of Instruction. De-identified case material will be used to illustrate the issues. The aim is for an interactive session with plenty
