all a lot of pain in Federal elections!</font></div>

<div style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px"><b style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;">Almost all of the 9 candidates are mental health practitioners of some description, with a number of those caught up in the tensions around the 2-tier system
of Medicare payments under Better Access. Very few have made any reference to issues of public policy or social justice, or to specific concerns such as Indigenous issues, marriage equality, climate change, cultural competence or refugees. And very few have
an organisational or community psychology background, or even a teaching/research/academic role, as opposed to a counselling/clinical focus. Nothing wrong with that of course, but a balance on the Board would be good. </b></div>
