<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt;">I am currently an Assistant Principal at Lakeview Senior College. A core responsibility of mine is to lead the Student Wellbeing and Engagement Team. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We – Lakeview Senior College - currently have three full-time social workers/youth workers employed by the College. We have advertised, for the first time, a full time position for a ‘School Psychologist’. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Lakeview Senior College is located in Caroline Springs and we are one of ‘only’ nine senior secondary colleges in Victoria. We have three year levels here at Lakeview; y10 to y12 (15 to 18 years of age). Our student population is growing
in number, with more than 1000 students across the three year levels. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="">The psychologist will provide high quality advice and support to Lakeview and Creekside students. They will support and comply with DET, Lakeview and Creekside procedures and policies in order to best support the wellbeing
of students. They will provide individualised support to foster resilience, improve attendance and respond to identified social, emotional and educational needs.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="">Responsibilities</span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="">At Lakeview Senior College the psychologist will work in collaboration with the broader wellbeing team. They will report directly to the Leading Teacher and Assistant Principal for Wellbeing and Engagement. Alongside the
Student Wellbeing Team, the psychologist will:</span></p>

<li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Provide high quality case management and support to Lakeview students</span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Undertake individual and/or group counselling and therapeutic interventions with students to assist them in enhancing their capacity to self-manage their social, emotional and educational needs</span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Administer assessments and diagnosis in order to provide advice to staff, students and families</span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Keep thorough and extensive case notes to create transparency and accountability</span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Where appropriate, contribute to whole school, year level and small group programs</span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Develop and implement DET and Lakeview procedures and policies to support and foster the wellbeing of students</span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Collaborate with school staff, Student Support Services and support agencies to foster the resilience of individual students, improve their attendance and respond to their identified social, emotional and educational
needs</span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Establish and maintain links with Student Support Services, school networks and relevant support agencies with a view to optimising and coordinating service provision to students</span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Provide advice in the identification and analysis of emerging student wellbeing issues and coordinate specialist advice on the range of appropriate interventions</span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Actively participate in professional development activities and programs and share knowledge and expertise with other staff.</span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="">Work as a key member of the whole College Wellbeing Team to ensure uniformity of action and purpose across the college in matters relating to student wellbeing.</span></li></ul>
