<P><SPAN lang=EN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman','serif'"><FONT face="times new roman, new york, times, serif">Postgraduate students of community psychology are also warmly invited to attend a free pre-conference event,a Community Psychology Postgraduate Workshop being held at York St John University Lord Mayors Walk, York, YO31 7EX on Wednesday the 14th of September 2011. In the morning </FONT><FONT face="times new roman, new york, times, serif">Postgraduates will have the opportunity to both make a brief presentation about their work for discussant feedback from experienced supervisors of community psychology PhD research and to pose questions for those supervisors to answer. The morning is particularly aimed to accommodate postgraduate students. In the afternoon </FONT><FONT face="times new roman, new york, times, serif">a session will be led by Dr Raquel Guzzo on Participatory Action Research (PAR), providing an introduction to PAR’s principles and practices. This session is open to postgraduates and those who are not postgraduates. </FONT><FONT face="times new roman, new york, times, serif">Dr Raquel Guzzo </FONT><FONT face="times new roman, new york, times, serif">originally graduated from Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, Brazil with a degree in Psychology. She went on to complete her Masters and Doctorate in School Psychology at the University of São Paulo with a post-doctorate in Prevention at the Center for Community Studies at the University of Rochester, USA. She is currently a Professor of Psychology at the Catholic University of Campinas and a member of the International Committee for Liberation Social Psychology. She also leads a research group on psychological intervention, subject, and liberation supported by the National Council of Research. </FONT></P>
