<p><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; COLOR: black; FONT-SIZE: 9.5pt">Every year Monash University's rural health club, WILDFIRE, holds a lecture dedicated to Indigenous health.</span></p>
<p><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; COLOR: black; FONT-SIZE: 9.5pt">This event was first organised in 1994. The seminar provides students at Monash University with an opportunity to hear about possible solutions to difficulties faced by Indigenous
Australians that affect their health, both mental and physical.</span></p>
<p><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; COLOR: black; FONT-SIZE: 9.5pt">A testament to the desire of students to learn more about this area of health, the first lecture organised by Matthew Campbell, then a second year medical student, was attended
by hundreds of students from Monash and other universities. Tragically, just a few days later, Matthew was killed in a car accident. Every year, WILDFIRE holds this event in memory of Matthew and his passion; Indigenous health.</span></p>
<p><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; COLOR: black; FONT-SIZE: 9.5pt">This year will be the
<strong><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Verdana','sans-serif'">17th Matthew Campbell Memorial Lecture</span></strong>. Each year the lecture has a different theme. This year the theme is 'Indigenous Culture: Celebrations and Proposed Integrations'.</span></p>
<p><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; COLOR: black; FONT-SIZE: 9.5pt">WILDFIRE would like this night to celebrate the ways Indigenous culture improves the health of Indigenous Australians. We would like to inform students of integrations that
could be made between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians' approaches to health that would benefit both peoples.</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; COLOR: black; FONT-SIZE: 9.5pt">The lecture will be held in South One Lecture Theatre at 6pm on Friday May 20.</span></strong><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; COLOR: black; FONT-SIZE: 9.5pt">

<strong><span style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Verdana','sans-serif'">The Paddle Prize</span></strong>. This competition aims to encourage students to reflect on Indigenous culture and health. The competition asks for writings of any form on a chosen theme.
