<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 10pt" class=MsoNormal align=center><B><U>Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Conference 2009</U></B></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 10pt" class=MsoNormal>Abstract submissions are invited for the Annual Researchers for Asylum Seekers (RAS) Conference to be held at the University of Melbourne on Thursday, 26<SUP>th</SUP> November, 2009. The RAS conference is designed for Postgraduate students from Australia and New Zealand to interact and share their current research/work among peers in a friendly and stimulating environment.</P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 10pt" class=MsoNormal>The theme for this year’s conference is intended to accommodate postgraduate researchers - past and present - as well as practitioners, policy makers/advisors working in this area. Abstracts addressing any broad interpretation of the topic are welcome. Abstract submissions of 200 - 300 words for papers of 20 minutes duration are requested before 7<SUP>th</SUP> November, 2009. <P style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify" class=MsoNormal>Phil Glendenning, Director of Edmund Rice Centre, involved in the documentary <I>A Well Founded Fear</I> will give the opening keynote address. Further details will be posted on the RAS website at <A href="http://www.ras.unimelb.edu.au/">www.ras.unimelb.edu.au</A>. Conference registration is free and a light lunch will be provided. A small stipend is available for inter-state travel.</P>
