Others might know very little about their incredible contributions to psychology and the wider global community, or why they are remembered with such affection, esteem and sheer awe within Australian community psychology circles, particularly at Victoria University. In his term as Research Professor at VU (2000-2002), Isaac left an indelible legacy that is perhaps best reflected in the reactions of so many of the students he taught, supervised and mentored. Words like inspiring, kind, brilliant, encouraging, enthusiastic and gentle give some idea of how we remember him, and of the immensity of this loss. Ora taught in the postgraduate Counselling program and was an outstanding scholar in her own right, especially on women and disability. The APS College of Community Psychologists is holding a special online session to honour both Isaac and Ora next Tuesday evening May 26 (7-8.30 AEST). We will show some video of Isaac's talks and provide space for people who knew them to share their memories and for those who didn't know them to learn about their remarkable contribution to community psychology.
