In this online panel discussion, each presenter will nominate one initiative they would like to see happen (or that is already underway), and how psychologists could best be involved in combatting family violence at one or more of the following levels of prevention:

  * Primary - universal (aimed at a whole population, e.g., promotion of gender equality/equity)
  * Secondary - selective (aimed at identified at-risk group, e.g., promotion of respectful behaviours among young men; recognition of early warning signs and protective measures...)
  * Tertiary - indicated (aimed at people living with or recovering from a particular condition or experience, e.g., trauma-informed response systems and services prioritising safety, empowerment and recovery)

Prevention initiatives might also be considered at individual (counselling/ therapy), relational (couple, family, intergenerational), group (family, school, community group) and/or systems (child protection, legal, FV services...) levels.
