Subject: Post Doctoral Fellowship research opportunity

Dear Dr Lauren Breen,

Please follow the link below to a call for expressions of interest in a three year Level B Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander Post-Doctoral Fellowship at ECU. You will see from the advertisement that the HealthInfoNet is identified as a research centre offering specific opportunities. I have received very strong support from the Research Office and am keen to identify and encourage potential applicants. Our proposed research program broadly speaking is to develop a strategic approach to research investigating the impact of Translational Research outputs such as those we produce on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes. This would include research on workforce productivity, efficiency and training. I have has preliminary discussions with staff at the Lowitja Institute about synchronising our efforts to their research agenda and am very happy to discuss with any of the other peak research organisations in the sector.

If we could secure a post-doctoral fellowship it would significantly enhance our capacity to support the two PhD scholarships we have also been offered.

But... the timeline is very tight. Would you please let me know of any potential applicants from within your networks. Please encourage them to call me to discuss.

Many thanks for your assistance.
