About the role
An exciting opportunity exists to join our Alcohol and Drug Services team, based in the western suburbs of Melbourne (only 30 minutes drive from CBD), as a Team Leader. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and variety, you will thrive in this fantastic opportunity which will see you as part of a senior team, reporting to and provide primary support to the Manager of Addiction Programs.

Some of the key responsibilities for this position include:
• Provides clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary alcohol and drug team
• Provides advanced assessment and a range of advanced therapeutic interventions to our clients
• Is part of and supports the senior Addiction Programs team with sector treatment reform change management strategies and practices
• Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, especially criminal justice systems and ACSO.

About you
Your written and verbal communication skills will be of the highest standard as will your ability to work in a fast paced group environment. You will possess a high level of integrity as well as an intricate knowledge and practice of advanced therapeutic techniques. You will also posses knowledge of the current Victorian alcohol and drug treatment reform and have the ability to ‘think outside the box’. Your ability to support and lead change in a multidisciplinary team is essential to this role.

Key Selection Criteria
• Degree in Health or welfare studies/discipline (post graduate studies are highly desirable).
• 5 years experience in the AOD or similar sector
• 3 years experience in a team leader or clinical senior role
