VicHealth is committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of all Victorians.

To ensure an equitable health promotion approach, we have adapted and applied the work of the WHO Commission on the Social Determinants of Health to the Australian context, and produced an action oriented framework.

The VicHealth Framework for Health Equity outlines and describes the social determinants of health inequities, and provides practical entry points for action.

Facilitated by Sharon Friel, Professor of Health Equity from the Australian National University, the consultation session will include:

 *   a presentation by Professor Friel on her current equity-focused research and/or policy advocacy
 *   an introduction to the VicHealth Framework for Health Equity
 *   discussion and feedback on how VicHealth's framework might be useful for you or your organisation's work
