Join Peter Streker as he guides you through the
theoretical and pragmatic dilemmas of working with psychological abuse – the
most prevalent, and some would argue, most damaging, form of interpersonal
abuse.  Aside from the harm it directly
causes, it is often also used to set up and guard acts of physical and sexual
abuse.

Peter has 18 years’ experience working with men who
have been violent and abusive and has recently completed a PhD, titled “I Wish
That He Hit Me”, which focused on developing pragmatic responses to the most
elusive types of abuse. Peter will present new models designed to help you
through the definitional quagmire and fine tune your interventions with
survivors and perpetrators.

This interactive workshop will connect participants
with others working in this field and draw on the group’s collective expertise.
