Trudy holds a PhD in Psychology with a focus on Community and Cross-Cultural Psychology. Arthur is an automotive engineer. Robert and Mary are emerging Aboriginal leaders of their community.

Trudy and her husband have recently returned to Perth after 2 years of managing a remote Aboriginal community on the edge of the Tanami desert in WA's East Kimberley. Their challenging and often intense experiences of providing community development to the community's children and families have been captured in many photographs showing children's smiles and tears, family functioning and disfunctioning, community's activities and inaction, environmental beauty and squalor. Robert and Mary are intending to be in Perth during October. The four will talk to the photographs from their own perspectives, addressing in particular personal, social, psychological and political issues.
