As discussed please find attached the Position Description for the newly
created role of Professor of Rural and Regional Allied Health based in
Bendigo. 

 

Since its establishment in 1964, La Trobe University has become an
internationally recognised leader in tertiary education and training,
with strong research and teaching programs.  It is committed to
providing undergraduate and postgraduate teaching of the highest
quality, supported by an outstanding research profile.

The Commonwealth of Australia has provided over 60 million dollars of
funding to establish the La Trobe Rural Health School (LRHS). The
funding is recognition of La Trobe University's leading position in
health science education and research. Students studying health science
at the regional campuses will experience a radical and innovative model
of education based on an enquiry or problem based curriculum. For more

La Trobe Rural Health School (LRHS) is set in 33 hectares of native
bushland, only 3 km from the centre of Bendigo. This beautiful regional
city is approximately 90 minutes drive from Melbourne.  Impressive
Victorian buildings line the wide streets of Bendigo, as a reminder of
the rich history built from one of the world's most exciting gold
rushes. Today, Bendigo is a place where art, culture, food, wine and

The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership in the
areas of strategic development, teaching, research, and management of
allied health staff and activities in the newly established La Trobe
Rural Health School (LRHS). Bring your experience, motivation and
enthusiasm to this exciting new role!
